The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is the North American-based international trade group for the off-road equipment manufacturing industry (agriculture, construction, forestry, mining and utility).
AEM is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has offices in Beijing, China; Washington, DC; and Ottawa, Canada; and a European presence in Brussels, Belgium.
The association numbers 800 companies that produce equipment, products and services used worldwide in the agriculture, construction, forestry, mining and utility fields. AEM has been in existence for more than 100 years.
Association services include product safety and technical support, equipment statistics and market trends data, public policy representation, trade shows, international business support services, education and training programs, workforce development and jobsite safety/educational materials.
AEM also owns or co-owns and produces trade shows that are leaders in their industry segments. These include CONEXPO-CON/AGG, one of the largest construction-focused exhibitions in the world, and ICUEE – The Demo Expo, the leading equipment demonstration show for the utility and construction industry.
AEM and China
AEM opened its full-time branch office in Beijing, China in 1997 to help promote industry business opportunities between the U.S. and China. Through the years, the association has become more involved in other areas that advance the construction industry in China. These include technical and safety activities such as operator training, safety manuals in the Chinese language, and machinery standards, plus education and market data.
CONEXPO Asia brings the same quality show experience of CONEXPO-CON/AGG and other expositions to the China-Asia marketplace, including the fact that it is a show run by the industry, for the benefit of the industry. |
